Jennifer Guralnick

Jennifer has been part of the UNISDR Regional Office for the Americas team since 2007. Within UNISDR – The Americas she is the regional focal point for monitoring the implementation of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction, and issues of gender, persons with disabilities, children and civil society. She is also the geographic officer for the countries of South America except Brazil and Chile, and is the coordinator of a regional project for South America funded by the Department of Humanitarian Assistance and Civil Protection of the European Commission (ECHO) through its DIPECHO programme. She holds a masters degree in International Development from Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, Canada and a bachelor’s degree in Urban Studies and a major in Cultural Anthropology from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada.
