Elena
Pita is an Adaptation Programme Officer in the Climate Change Unit of the
Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean of the United Nations
Environment Programme (UN Environment). She has worked as a consultant in
Environment, Climate Change and Water for theDirectorate-General for
International Cooperation and Development of the European Commission (DG
DEVCO) and for the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation
(AECID), as well as in the Spanish Office for Climate Change (OECC). Previously, she worked in the Delegation of the European Commission in Mauritania and in the branch of the consulting company AEPO, S.A. in Libreville (Gabon). She holds a degree in Agricultural Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid (ETSIA – UPM) and a Masters of Science from the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Montpellier (CIHEAM-IAM Montpellier). |
