Daniel Stothart

Expert in disaster risk management and emergency response, with experience in Latin America, the Caribbean and Africa, both with NGOs and the United Nations. He has worked in organizations with diverse specialties and mandates, including organizations focused on water and sanitation, livelihoods, children’s issues and conflicts. He now works at UN Environment in the office for Latin America and the Caribbean, focusing on the relationship between environment and humanitarian issues in diverse situations such as mixed flows of refugees and migrants in the region, industrial accidents, emergency response and environmental issues associated with peace and post-conflict agreements in Colombia.
